GET YOUR INSTRUMENT AND COMMERCIAL RATINGS IN MINIMUM TIME SMALL CLASSES, DEDICATED AIRPLANES AND INSTRUCTORS AVERAGE 4 HOURS OF TRAINING TIME PER DAY! FAR Part 61 and 141 US flight training is done according to rules set out in either of two sections of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR): Part 61 or Part 141. At Accessible Aviation, training is available under either Part 61and Part 141 in our Private, Instrument and Commercial training courses. There is no difference in the instructors, materials or syllabi used: the quality is identical. However, there are subtle differences in the required flight hours--in each case, Part 141 students qualify with fewer total hours.
What does this mean to the student? Standardized training: You will be trained to the highest possible standards in well-maintained aircraft by motivated instructors. Formal Ground school: You will be required to get a minimum number of formal ground school hours. Perhaps the most common remarks by Flight Examiners are that the students' knowledge level when they go thru Part 61 flight training is not what it should be. Most Part 61 instructors hand you a book and say "study for the test". We don't. You get one-on-one training from our flight instructors. Reduced flight hours: Under Part 141, you get more dual flight instruction and follow a formal syllabus, so the FAA allows you to get your Private Pilot License in 35 hours instead of 40 hours. Phase Checks: You will take two practice check rides with our Chief or Assistant Flight Instructor. This helps you get over "check ride jitters" and makes sure you are well qualified for your FAA check ride!
GET YOUR INSTRUMENT RATING IN MINIMUM TIME
Under Part 61, you must have 50 hours of PIC cross country time and 40 hours of dual instruction to get your Instrument Rating. Under Part 141, you may start your Instrument Rating training immediately after getting your Private Pilot License and get your Instrument Rating in just 35 hours! Approximate Cost: $5600 (35 hours dual/simulator, ground school, written test, pre/post flight briefings and examiners fees, AND 14 NIGHTS LODGING!)
GET YOUR MULTI-COMMERCIAL RATING IN MINIMUM TIME Enroll in our Private/Instrument/Commercial course and get your Ratings in 190 hours vs. 250 under Part 61. Unlike most Part 141 schools, we do Multi-engine training in our basic Commercial course. You will take your initial Commercial check ride in our Piper Seneca I, and then take your Commercial Single Engine as an add-on. So, in 190 hours (plus time for two check rides) you will have a Commercial and Instrument Ratings in Multi-engine and Single Land aircraft! Approximate Price for Commercial Course: $ $25,500 (VA Student Cost $12,700) (this can vary by how much multi-engine instruction or time building you want) Includes 20 hours dual instruction in C-172, 55 hours dual instruction in PA-34 Seneca. 45 hours solo cross country and Commercial maneuver practice time in C-172.
